Dear LinkPointCart user:

Over the past two weeks LinkPoint International sent notification to their shopping cart partners that they were implementing a new integration system with their LinkPoint Basic HTML payment gateway. In compliance with the new integration, LinkPointCart completed the integration requirements, and began using the new integration method on the 23rd of November. Since that time, we have been made aware of some issues concerning the new integration and the responses that the LinkPoint Basic HTML gateway is issuing. These responses have caused potential valid orders to be declined. Fortunately, this has only effected roughly 10% of our LinkPointCart users that connect using the LinkPoint Basic HTML gateway. We immediately contacted LinkPoint International and made them aware of the problem with their new integration method, and are working with them to help get this issue corrected.

In working with LinkPoint International we have been made aware that some LinkPointCart users did not correctly setup the payment gateway connection in Step 4 "Merchant Account Information" of your shopping cart settings. Using the old integration method with LinkPoint, some of these improperly configured connections were still accepted. However, with the new integration method, only correctly configured accounts will successfully be able to process orders to their LinkPoint payment gateway account.

To verify that you have your connection information correctly configured in Step 4 of the cart settings, please contact LinkPoint International at (800-456-5989x4100) and verify that you have either the "LinkPoint Basic HTML" or "LinkPoint Select API" product.

Then you will need to login to your shopping cart administration and confirm that your shopping cart is properly configured for using the appropriate LinkPoint payment gateway.

To confirm the proper configuration of your LinkPointCart using the LinkPoint Basic HTML gateway:

1) log into your LinkPointCart account at: https://www.linkpointcart.net/admin
2) go to step 4 of the Cart Settings "Merchant Account Information"
3) select "LinkPoint Basic HTML" as your payment gateway
4) fill in the Login ID with your LinkPoint Store ID number (this is a 6 digit number)
5) fill in the password with your current LinkPoint password (this is the same password you use when logging into your LinkPoint Central account)
6) Be sure to click "Save" at the bottom of Step 4 to save any changes.

To confirm the proper configuration of your LinkPointCart using the LinkPoint Select API gateway:

1) log into your LinkPointCart account at: https://www.linkpointcart.net/admin
2) go to step 4 of the Cart Settings "Merchant Account Information"
3) select "LinkPoint Select API" as your payment gateway
4) fill in the Login ID with your LinkPoint Store ID number (this is a 6 digit number)
5) fill in the password with your current LinkPoint password (this is the same password you use when logging into your LinkPoint Central account)
6) copy and paste the PEM (digital) certificate for account that was provided by LinkPoint in your LinkPoint welcome letter
7) Be sure to click "Save" at the bottom of Step 4 to save any changes.

We recommend you test your cart if you make any changes to your "Merchant Account Information". You can test your account with this card number

If it comes back with a "decline" or "fraud" then you are working properly.
