Authorize.Net gateway notice

Authorize.Net is updating their systems. Based on the email we received, our systems may not be able to process orders for Authorize.Net customers for part of May 24, 2001. Any orders that would have been processed during this time will still be recorded. However, you will need to login to your Authorize.Net viritual terminal and process these funds manually after Authorize.Net has completed the update.

A portion of the Authorize.Net message is included below:

Earlier this year, Authorize.Net put the finishing touches on a new, state-of-the-art data center facility in Seattle, Washington. The Seattle data center provides growth over the current data center with highly redundant power, cooling, and network infrastructure.

We anticipate beginning the transition from the Provo, Utah data center to Seattle, Washington at 12:00 AM PST on May 24, 2001. The anticipated downtime for any Authorize.Net service is less than two hours.

The major issue to consider with the new data center is a change in IP addresses. Always connect to all Authorize.Net services using hostnames (i.e. secure.authorize.net, www.authorizenet.com, etc.) rather than IP addresses.
